What Are We Learning?
For this term, we are learning about the “Rugby World Cup.” I am so proud of myself because I have learned loads about it. This year, there are going to be 20 teams playing in the Rugby World Cup. Also the Samoan Rugby team is entering it. But then the Kiwi Rugby team is playing too and am also a Kiwi!! In our class, we are studying and learning about four different flags. They are Argentina, Australia, USA, and SAMOA!!! My favourite class option is making a button that will go onto another card. I am proud of “myself” because I am getting more Assignments finished.
What I am going to try and improve is my writing and especially math!! I am also going to try to finish most of my assignments. Last of all, my “Our Team” stack.

Looking Forward to the New Term
After the holidays, it was really good to come back to school. What are my goals? Well, my goal is to finish all assignments instead of talking. My other goal is to listen to my teacher so that will know what to do. Do you know what my last goal is? It is to increase lots and to improve in my learning.
This term, I am looking forward to learning lots about the Rugby World Cup and especially learning about SAMOA because it is my own culture. Did you know that I don’t really know that much about rugby? But I am hoping I will learn lots about it. This term I am looking forward to memorising all of the 20 team that are going to the CUP!!!
Did you know that I always wanted to do good things in school to make people and especially parents proud of me. If I want that to happen, then I should think about it all the time. This term I am going to try and improve in everything.

Beautiful,BIG, BOOKS,I LOVE BOOKS
Reading books is like a touch of greatness. They make me laugh, they make me cry, reading books is a good time to sit back and relax in your own time. I love reading everything. Books that can make you happy, frightened, and SCARED!! When you read books all the time, you are growing to be a BIGGER, BETTER, faster, and STRONGER learner. I loooooooove reading . It makes people happy, excited, and is a comprehension builder. Chapter books, novels, baby books, comics, every book makes me completely happy. People who don’t like reading will just struggle in everything they do. That is why, reading is a good thing to learn about.
Made up story: How I Became Famous
P1. Today in the morning, my mum and I woke up really early and got ready to take a walk up Mt.Wellington. Outside was that it felt like ice that can freeze you to death, well it wasn’t freezing like cold ice but it was so cold. My mother and I wore long pants, warm jumpers, and also some gloves. We felt so warm now that we were ready to take a walk up the rocky mountain. I was hoping that it is going to be a lot of fun.
P2. I thought we were going to have a lot of fun but the big and high mountain was rrreeeaaalllyyy TIRING!!! As we were walking back down the steeply mountain, guess who we saw? Its John Key the Prime Minister!! I said to my mother, “ look mum, the Prime Minister.” My mum and I were really pleased to see the awsome John Key. He spoke to us in a very clear voice and asked us a question that made me really excited that I wanted to faint.
P3. Our New Zealand Prime Minister asked us if we wanted to go over to his really huge and massive house and have dinner with him, his family, and Richie Mcaw!!! Wouldn’t it be cool if the Prime Minister asked you? Well I was really excited. “ Yes, Yes !! I would like to to come.” I said. I asked my mum if we were allowed to go and she said, “ Of course.” And she have a rest at home. “ Who is going to pick me up?” I said in a Panicking way. John Key said, “ Never mind, you can sleep over at my my place for the night.”
P4. So the JK man and I went to his house. As we got there, “ Wow!” Mr Key’s house is reeaallllyyyy HUGE!!! Everything looked perfect inside John Key’s house like the kitchen, bathrooms, and especially the sitting room. We waited until John Key’s family arrived. In a few more minutes, “ Beep beep!” Their here. I met John Key’s family and they were really kind and polite. Richie Mcaw was hiding in the kitchen when I didn’t even know.
P5. After that, it was dinner time and we all did our prayer began to eat yummy food on the table. I cannot believe that I was eating with some famous people. I felt famous too. Next, Richie Mcaw asked me if I wanted to be on TV with John Key and himself. Of course I did and I was excited. On the next day, I was on TV!! I got to do a speech for John Key and I did very well because I had the confidence to speak in front of a lot of people, and famous people!! Lots of audience were very proud of me and even Richie Mcaw and Especially John Key. That is how I became famous.

Juice Fruity Juice
In the recent past, not long ago, room 18 were learning how to make juice out of a Canadian juicer. We learnt lots about the juice machine. What we did was like a triathalon because we cut it with the knife, put it in the juicer and then we had a nice time drinking the fresh fruit drink.

The Canadian National Anthem
O Canada! Our home and native land!
True patriot love in all thy sons command.
With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The true north strong and free,
from far and wide, O Canada,
We stand on guard for thee.
Et ta valeur, de foi trompee,
Protegera nos foyers et nos
droits.
O Canada, we stand on guard for
thee.

My Humurous Time at Our Rugby Game
This week, on Monday, we had a good exercise walk down to Dunkirk in the morning for our Rugby game. I felt really excited and fresh because I will be having my first game since this whole term, I also knew that our Rugby game was not going to canceled because it was a beautiful day. When we get there, I know I am going to see my old friends from my old school Ruapotaka. Our walk made some people tired and exhausted from them having to catch up with their team, but I was lucky because I was walking with coach Mr Somerville.
When we got there, t I saw my old friends from Ruapotaka, they made me want to go back to Ruapotaka. As soon as we sat down, miss Va’afusuaga told us that we can have our snack and rest before our game starts. So I got my pear out of my school bag and started eating my fruit. Sitting down, eating my delicious pear, I was thinking about my tackling and passing, I knew I was going to try my very best.
Next, Mr Somerville called the over 50 team to go and play a passing game before our real game starts. We played the game of Zig Zag. We another played a game of passing, but we have to form a circle and the rules are, if it is a bad pass, you have to do five push ups and if you drop the ball, you have to do ten push ups.We did not just our passing, we practised our tackling too.The over 50 team were practising how to tackle the left and right side.We had lots of laughter and fun and I did not
After our practising game, it was time for our real game against Panmure Bridge Primary School. I was one of the reserves for Richard, that means I am playing as a prop. When I went on for him, I tried my best tackling my marker and I ran as fast as I can to knock them out. Next, Richard scored our first try, “beep!” the whistle went, and there was a try from one of our best players. After that, our team won against Panmure Bridge by miles, they had absolutely no scores at all.We had to play for 20 minutes in all our games. We played against St Pius in our second game. Mr Somerville told us that we are not just playing because its fun, but to play and run with our hearts and strength. So I played with strength and I also ran with my heart, that made me get the confidence. Our team had excellent sport men ship and we won for playing as hard as we can. There goes the beeping sound, we won our game and we were really proud of ourselves. We had 2 more games to go and I was hoping for our team to win the tournament. Tamaki Primary was our next game, if we win against Tamaki Primary, we will be in the final so I did a prayer before our game. Our team got some tries and the other team got some tries. We had the most tries and that means we made it to the finals, that day was one of the best days I have ever had.Our final game was against Bailey Road school, their school had some big guys in their team, but I had the faith to play against them. As the game started, I did some pretty good tackles. Bailey Road Primary school got the first try, I knew they were going to be hard to play against but I still was not afraid. When we did our kick off, the game went on, someone from our team got the ball and scored a try for our team.It was one all, then we started playing seriously and Alex scored the second try. Next, time was up, and it was like the crowd going wild for the winning team.I was really happy with myself and the coach was proud of me.
After that my dad was coming to watch us but I told him that our game was finished.I also told him we won all our games, he said even though he wasn’t their, he was still proud of me. When it time for me to go home with my father, I was too happy that I wanted to play again.I had a humorous time at our Rugby game.
